Databases & integration

IQlab / DATABASES

Data that reflects your process

We design databases around real entities: equipment, users, operations and events, including relationships, constraints and change history.

What the work covers

01

Integration across system layers

We connect controllers, readers and application software. Data formats, update frequency and failure handling are chosen for your workflow and existing infrastructure.

02

Maintainability and growth

We discuss user roles, reporting and data recovery, documenting the structure and interactions so the system can be maintained and expanded.

03

Interfaces & requirements

Agree on connections, constraints and expected system behavior.

A shared model for equipment data

A database should retain event context: source, time, device, operation and processing outcome. This supports history, links events across nodes and enables reporting. We start with business questions: what must be found, compared, counted or verified?

Exchange and consistency

Integration defines event identifiers, retransmission rules and transaction boundaries. Offline operation needs separate decisions: where to queue events, how to acknowledge receipt and how to prevent duplicate charging or dispensing. Schema and indexes are selected for actual read and write patterns.

Operation and migration

Scope may include migration, import-quality checks, access permissions and change history. Backup planning includes recovery testing so that the result is a usable system. Device count, event frequency and history requirements guide capacity and retention decisions.

Before we begin

Can we start from an existing board or system?

Yes. Send a description, available schematics, files and photos. We first determine what can be retained and what needs to change.

How are cost and timing defined?

After discussing the problem, constraints and expected outcome. Scope and milestones are agreed for the individual project.

What do you need for an initial discussion?

A brief description, the existing equipment and essential functions. If you already have a specification, attach it to your email.
